Every Sunday I read the Modern Love column in the Fashion and Style section of the New York Times. The column is written by a different individual every week, and the topics cover multiple loves: romantic, familial, friendly.
I found this Sunday's column particularly relevent. Here's the link.
Life does continue. The people you have left behind will continue. And we will be OK, as the saying goes.
We will be fine.
The above was taken a few years ago, when I was a freshman in college. Winter break. My sister still had braces. I was still awkward. We were in Tampa, seeing a hockey game. The grandparents were down for the winter. Everyone was healthy then, and happy.
I was lucky to have known and loved my grandparents. I hope they know that.
